What Happened to NBA In Kansas City?
Its been awhile I was just wondering if theres any update to this? That is the reason The Sprint Center in Kansas City MO was made.. to host either a promised NBA basketball team or NHL hockey team. Anyone have any new info to share?
I know the history of the kansas city/nebraska Kings, but that was decades ago I am speaking of the present you know..not before I was born..

The arena was built so the city would have a better chance getting an NBA or/and NHL team. No deal was in place with any franchise. So Kansas City has to wait for a chance of a team trying to relocate.
The Kings haven’t been able to get a new arena in Sacramento, so they might leave town. And they could easily land on Kansas City.
Seattle won’t get a team until they build a new arena. That doesn’t seem likely for now, so if the Kings decide to move (let’s say in 2011) they would pick a city with an arena already built like Kansas City over one that doesn’t like Seattle.
Yes, they stole the Sonics from Seattle. But the league doesn’t feel they owe Seattle any favors. Meaning if there is a team trying to relocate, nobody will say: “Hey, Seattle has priority, the team has to move there”. I hate it, but that’s how it is.
