Networking question for LAN parties?
my dell dimension 2400 desktop that is running windows XP is the host for my network games. But when my other computers that are running windows Vista are joining the LAN party, there is a lot of lag. So my question is… Is the reason for all this lag because 1. windows XP and Vista dont communicate that well, 2) the host desktop needs more RAM so that it can handle multiple computers accessing it at the same time, or 3) i need a better Wireless Network Adapter for it, because the Tx rate is only 54 Mbps? Thanks for your help.
it is 3 but about top speed without reaching deep in your pocket is 61 Mbps you may want to consider a switch and wires
