I’m creating a new business website. I wish to register the domain name asap because it’s pretty cool but don’t know if I should choose Linux or Windows? Also, if I choose a commerical web host like Godaddy.com do I receive explicit ownership rights?
You should have complete ownership of the name but, to be sure, register the name first and then search for a hosting company later.
You will have to pay two sets of fees (one for the name and one for the hosting) but if your site is as cool as you think it is, it will be worth it.
You should pay up to a tenner for registering a domain name but this depends on the extension (.com, .co.uk, .net. etc).

anyone ever just give up dealing with yahoo customer support with technical issues?
i own a domain name that they refuse to help me with, emailing or calling, they act like i am a criminal and the worlds worst customer, i just told them on the phone, to forget it and not worry about it, that i was tired of going around in circles with them on this issue for the past 2 weeks! yahoo will never get my money again for mail plus,. web hosting or domain names – does anyone else have the same problems?

You can design a website by just creating a MS.Word file with same name of your buttons on webpage and they’ll contain all those texts.Besides, you can insert pics in .doc file too. If you are aware(remember first page should be INDEX)
When your website is done take it out of your TEMP folder in
Document settings>>User>>Local>>TEMP
