Do I have to have a mobileme account to use iweb?

i want to use iweb to create a website and even use it in my blog. but do I need to use the mobile me hosting services to use it? or can I use other hosting services? thanks

Hello,
You can use another hosting service if you prefer. I use mobileme and really like it. Also, they provide a lot of space! The transition from iWeb to Mac’s hosting is seamless. Updates are extremely easy. Good luck!

virtual windows 2008 hosting
Can I install VMware server on a virtual Windows 2008 server hosted by Windows 7 PC?

Just for testing purposes… is this possible?

Yes, but the performance of your VMs inside of Win Server 08 will be significantly degraded. Keep that in mind.

data hosting

data hosting
What is better to host data offsite or inhouse.?

Seems the price of hosting has gone up dramatically when it involves data. Everything is outsourced as soon as the word internet comes into play. Should we learn to host inhouse via our own equipment. Need pros and cons.

Your feelings about security will determine this question for you. I have clients who keep everything in-house simply for control and others have gone with hosts.

The reputation for availability and consistency should be your controlling factors when looking for a host. Don’t forget to ask about bandwidth charges and how security is handled.

Good Luck
