hosting direct link
i can’t find a music/song file host that has direct links, help?

it’s for my blog page on my Myspace
i want to put music on it

but i’m getting so frusturated
cuz i can’t find a hosting site that will direct link files

Imageshack.us direct links
but that site only uploads images
i want the direct link of a song =)

You are not going to either. Its huge bandwidth, if its a direct link there is no chance for advertising, and it would be a headache and a half for someone to run and deal with the copyright issues.

How to upload flash video to main website?

i’ve an avi file 14mb and ive converted to swf but turn out to be double the size 25mb. I thought it should be smaller, did i do it correctly. Which is recommended to play on website? Avi or flash.
Secondly, how to i go about if im using a free host/file sharing site to host my main website? I’ve not sure how to write the html code to command the swf from another free host to load into my main website. Can anyone help? Im using a direct converter to convert my avi to flash so the html code is not provided. Can anyone write or show me the basic codes to write up including the command to play flash movie. Thanks!!!
ITs really urgent.

If you want Flash video, try converting your .avi file to .flv file then use a .swf player, search for flashplayer or flowplayer in sourceforge.net. this is the same flash video format that youtube is using

Download anything Dvds,Games,Full music albums, software for free Direct links (No Torrents)

godaddy hosting upload

April 13th, 2009 No comments

Is it easy to upload Dreamweaver pages to godaddy?

I am trying to keep down cost. I want to buy a domain name and hosting from godaddy, but if I buy Website Tonight from them the price jumps drastically.

Is it easy to upload pages to their web server?

Yes, I do this pretty much everyday.

First, you need to set it up in DW (Dreamweaver). Here’s how:

If you have NOT defined your local copy of the site in DW:

Site > New Site

Enter in your info. (WHat you want to call your site, where all the files will be, images directory, etc.)

Then, on the left “Category” side, click “remote info”. Go to the “Advanced” tab and on the drop down choose “FTP”

your ftp host is: www.yoursitename.com
(of course, change yoursitename with the domain name you purchased from godaddy or whereever)

Leave “Host Directory” blank and enter in your godaddy login information. (your godaddy username and password).

I have “Maintain Synchronization” and “Save” checked and nothing else.

Then, test connection with the “Test” button. It should connect and say “Macromedia connected successfully.” Click “Ok” on that tab and “Ok” on the Remote Info thing.

Then, all you need to do is synchronize your local copy with your “remote” godaddy copy.

For this, go to your “Files” panel. First you need to connect by clicking the “electric plug/socket” like icon (the first one on there). Then you need to synchronize by clicking the “Expand to show remote and local files” icon (the very last one).

Then, on the new screen that shows up, there is a green recycle like icon on top that says “Synchronize” and wallah, your sites will be synchronized. Get and Put are pretty self-explanatory.

Hopefully this helped!

hotlink hosting

hotlink hosting
Good web host? Free or cheap?

By cheap, I mean it’s gotta be under $15/year. I don’t need that much storage or bandwidth. It must have NO LIMITATIONS with respect to what you can upload – I shoot little videos sometimes and I’d like to upload them (They are nothing illegal or sketchy, just of my cat or whatever, lol). I also want to be able to upload mp3 files of me singing or talking or whatever – nothing I don’t own the copyright to. I also want full .htaccess control and I have to be able to hotlink my own files. No file-type restrictions and it must have FTP.

I am sick of going from host to host and finding nothing good. I would greatly appreciate any recommendations. Thanks in advance.
I’ve been with a FREE host for 2 years who have 99% uptime.

I have never seen my website down.

It’s been 2 years. I think I should just stick with them.

If you are looking for a free for life web host, you can try www.icure.co.in. You get lifetime free hosting, no ads, frontpage support, a SUB-DOMAIN, PHP, MySQL, and other webmaster tools for no cost at all.

If u want some more webspace, bandwidth, phpBB etc. you can upgrade to their plans. They are not the cheapest of hosts but quite reliable on their claims i.e. 99.8% uptime, just very excellent customer support, industry standard security and no ads for providing free web-space.

Apart from that you can try x10hosting.com, wetpaint.com etc but most would place ads for providing free-space. For blogging word-press, blogger are the best.
