warcraft 3 ports hosting

December 31st, 2009 No comments

How can i host WarCraft 3 on a wireless network?

What ports do i have to have open? or if you even can host on a wireless network.

Dial up, lol.

FYI, if you are on a LAN with other users who are going to play, you have to open multiple ports (one for each computer that is going to play).

Simply put, if you had 3 people that are on your LAN that were going to play (including yourself), then you would want to open ports 6112-6114, and change two of the computers from the default 6112 to 6113 and 6114, respectively.

That can be done from the configuration in the options.

All computers would then be able to host and access battlenet at the same time.

Need help for hosting warcraft 3 games?

I would really like to host some game, but ofcourse like many others. I can’t host.

Now.. I’ve done ALOT of ‘methods’ for making it work.. and nothing has worked..

I’ve ran it as administer..
disabled firewall completely…
portforwarded 6112-6119…
enabled DMZ…
It seems like i’ve done all the solutions out there.. and nothing has worked,,

can anyone list some more suggestions??

I’m using a Windows Vista with a Broadband Router

Now there could be a large number of things here that could be stopping you from being able to host effectively.

Please e-mail me the answers to my questions and I’ll be able to help you out pretty easily.

Are you just trying to host on LAN? or are you using a LAN client such as Hamachi or Garena?

What version of Warcraft are you running?

I’m going under the assumption here that you have both reign of chaos and frozen throne.

I look forward to your reply.

Can anyone recommend a good hosting and dedicated server company?

I have been shopping around for a web hosting and dedicated server provider for an online game being developed. But my brain is beginning to hurt as they all claim to be the cheapest/best! My current hosting company does not provide MySQL/PHP database support nor does it have a forum template, both things I need. I’m not too fussed on the price and in my opinion, word of mouth usually works best, so does anyone have first hand experience of some good hosting companies that also provide dedicated servers? I am based in the UK.

You might want to give Lunarpages ( http://offto.net/lunar ) a try.

* VPS or Dediicated server available
* Unlimited E-Mail Accounts
* Unlimited MySQL Databases
* Supports CGI, Ruby (RoR), Perl, PHP, MySQL
* 24/7 Customer Support

It come with all the standard stuff of a web host, including php. It has proper upgrade options if you need more cpu power or ram in the future.

iPower ( http://offto.net/ipower/ ) is an alternative to Lunarpages.

Or, you might want to try Godaddy ( http://offto.net/godaddy11 )

They are the best in terms of domain registration and hosting. It is a one stop solution for your needs. They come with support for a number of languages including php, ruby on rails and jsp. They also have both linux and windows shared hosting, vps and dedicated servers.

Can a landlord deny you use of common areas?

I wanted to host a small party for my wife’s college graduation. I notified all of my neighbors(my landlord does not live on the premises) no one objected to our celebration. My landlord told me to shut down the party. I called my local police and they said my party was orderly and a lawful assembly. So, my landlord asked me to sign a new lease that would deny me use of the yard. I refused. Can he even do that… and now can I be subjected to the eviction process?

They cannot deny total use of it but they CAN disallow gatherings. You really needed to check with them first, NOT the neighbors. The laws the police can enforce and the rules of your lease are 2 COMPLETELY different things!!! Being orderly and lawful, does NOT mean that the landlord allows it or that they must allow it. It is legal to not allow a party in the common area. There are liability issues if someone were to get hurt.

They cannot make you sign a new lease taking away your rights to use it at all. All they can do is have you sign an addendum clarifying the rules of use.

They CANNOT evict you. You have not done anything wrong and they have no grounds. Fight them in court if they try.
